The one-line version: SI-generated reflections grounded in Scripture — not pastoral counseling. Not a pastor, not a therapist, not a counselor. Spiritual reflection only.
What SI Prayer is not
- Not a pastor or spiritual authority. Our reflections don't speak for God, and we won't frame them that way — not in the emails, not in the chat, not anywhere.
- Not a therapist or counselor. Nothing here is mental-health care, and it's no substitute for it.
- Not medical, legal, or financial advice — ever. Questions like "should I stop my medication," "should I leave my spouse," or "how should I invest" get a clear decline and a pointer to qualified professionals, not a riff.

How the companion chat will work (coming soon)
When the chat launches, every session opens with a visible reminder: SI-generated reflections grounded in Scripture — not pastoral counseling. The chat is a reflective companion — it walks through problems using Scripture, in a pastoral tone. It will:
- Decline medical, mental-health, legal, and financial advice, and point you to real professionals instead.
- Interrupt itself if you express thoughts of self-harm — stopping the pastoral flow immediately to surface crisis resources.
- Encourage talking to clergy, counselors, and trusted people in your life — not replacing them.
Your privacy
People tell prayer their most intimate things. Here's our promise:
- What's stored: your email address, and your first name if you share it. When the chat launches, your conversations — so the companion can remember context within a session.
- What's never done: we never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Period.
- One-tap deletion: when the chat launches, you'll be able to delete any or all of your conversations with a single tap. Email subscribers can unsubscribe instantly from any email — one click, no dark patterns.
- Security: data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what's needed to run the service.
Scripture integrity
Two rules we don't bend:
- Real verses, real citations. Every quotation is a genuine verse with a genuine reference. We never invent, paraphrase-then-attribute, or "vibe" a verse into existence. If our systems ever get a citation wrong, we want to know — tell us and we'll fix it.
- Public-domain translations only. Our library is built on the King James Version and the World English Bible — translations that belong to everyone. Most modern translations (NIV, ESV, NLT) are copyrighted and can't be quoted at scale commercially, so we simply don't use them.
Denominational honesty
Christians disagree on real things. Our core content stays with broadly shared Scripture and widely held wisdom. Where traditions differ, we say so rather than pretending otherwise — and our sister sites can carry their own denominational flavor openly.
Subscriptions, when they arrive
The Daily Verse email is free and stays free. If we introduce a paid tier later: clear pricing, clear consent, easy cancellation in one or two taps, and annual reminders as required by law. No tricks.
